General

The Visaton W 170 S - 8 Ohm is a 6.5-inch woofer characterised by its coated paper cone, strong magnet motor and extended pole plate at the rear. Thanks to the specially designed voice coil and an elastic rubber suspension, long cone movement is possible, resulting in a tight and deep bass response. With a load capacity of 50 watts RMS (80 watts peak) and a sensitivity of 86 dB, this driver is suitable for both enclosed and bass-reflex enclosures from 20 litres upwards. The woofer covers a frequency range up to 8000 Hz, making it ideally suited for the low-to-low midrange in tweeter/woofer or three-way systems. With its solid build quality and neat finish, it guarantees a solid foundation in any audio project.
