If you're playing with a folk band, you definitely don't want to show up with your standard bass. Gold Tone is the go-to folk music specialist and faithfully serves bass players with this little Microbass. While the short scale length of 23 inches may have you thinking this guitar isn't capable of depth, you might want to re-consider because the combination of specially-developed polymer Aquila strings and the built-in EQ would beg to differ. The sound is reminiscent of a double bass but since the Microbass wears a much smaller jacket, it can be played like a regular bass so there's no need to learn a new instrument!

Wrote the following about Gold Tone M-BASS Microbass with Gig Bag

Excellent I went for the 23 the smaller of the two because I thought there would be more strings available . I really am pleased with my purchase from Bax music as it came on time and was delivered safely . This is a good Bass although its classed as a ukelele M Bass it is ok not plugged in for a basic practise as its ample sound chamber throws the sound out . Double bass ? It sounds like one and plugged in its fantastic Very pleased

Ik wilde eigenlijk een bas ukelele. Ik heb er twee geprobeerd, uit verschillende prijsklassen, en ze rammelden alletwee wel met de E-snaar (de een wat meer dan de ander). Van deze bas is de hals iets langer, dus met de zelfde snaren de snaarspanning iets hoger. En dat merk je. He speelt nog steeds heel licht, maar klinkt "schoner". Ik kan er nog niet heel veel over zeggen, want ik moet eerst nog leren spelen. Daarvoor is deze bas luid genoeg , maar bij samenspel met andere instrumenten kon hij wel eens onhoorbaar worden (en dan vooral de E snaar). Direct op het mengpaneel ingeplugd klinkt hij lekker, een beetje als een contrabas.
