The strings in this D'Addario XSABR1253-3P XS 80/20 Bronze Coated 12-53 pack - immediately three full sets - have a hexagonal, steel core (NY Steel Hex Core) and are extra strong, with thus a very high breaking point, thanks to the Fusion Twist Technology used to manufacture them. They also stay in tune very well, up to 131% longer than strings made the standard way. An ultra-thin protective layer - D'Addario's patented XS coating - prolongs their lifespan and repels dirt so that the strings stay sounding and feeling like new for a long time.
