The set has a medium light 011 - 052 gauge, meaning that the strings are supple enough, yet still produce a nice, full sound. The Dunlop DAB1152 string set consists of two steel strings and 80/20 bronze wound steel strings. Bronze produces a warmer sound than phosphor bronze, for instance, making this set ideal for guitars that have a naturally bright sound that could do with some extra depth.

Wrote the following about Dunlop DAB1152 string set for acoustic western guitar

Heel lang met Elixir snaren gespeeld maar elektrisch al enige tijd vaste gebruiker van Dunlop en nu ook op akoestische gitaar. Leuke feel, ronde heldere klank, en staan relatief snel op stemming. Wat mij vooral steeds aanspreekt bij Dunlop is het feit dat de snaren voelen alsof ze al ingespeeld zijn, en zeer constant blijven van klank. Doe daar de lage prijs bovenop en de keuze is snel gemaakt als je veel speelt en vaak snaren vervangt. Het feit dat hetzelfde merk zoveel verschillende snaren voor alle toepassingen aanbiedt is helemaal mooi meegenomen.
