The Ernie Ball 2043 is a string set for acoustic western guitars. This Earthwood set consists of strings with a nylon core and a winding made from an alloy of 80% copper and 20% zinc. The soft nylon provides a warmer, rounder sound compared to pure steel strings. In addition, Earthwood strings provide lower string tension, improving playing comfort. This is the Regular variant, with a medium string thickness.

Wrote the following about Ernie Ball 2043 Earthwood Silk & Steel Regular string set

Ik had hoge verwachtingen van dit setje, maar dat viel tegen. Binnen de kortste keren brak er een snaar (gebeurt mij vrijwel nooit) en de klank was binnen een paar weken al dof. Nu binnen twee maanden nieuwe snaren op de gitaar gezet. Wellicht was er iets mis gegaan met het setje snaren, maar ik kies voor andere snaren.
