Thanks to the innovative, new materials used, the sound has deeper bass, punchier mids and brighter trebles. The Ernie Ball 2566 Aluminium Bronze Medium Light strings have gauges that range from .012 to .054 inches.

Ernie Ball Aluminium Bronze strings

These strings have a Maraging steel core with an aluminium and copper alloy winding that results in a richer, fuller, more focused tone and improved projection and brightness compared to traditional bronze strings. What's more, the aluminium provides excellent resistance to corrosion meaning that these strings sound bright for longer and last longer too.

Sounded really rich and bright on my mahogany guitar to begin with but have dulled just a little. Worth trying on a darker sounding acoustic through.

Ben erg tevreden met deze snaren. Zeker voor de fingerstyle die ik speel (vooral Andy McKee en Eddie van der Meer) past de sound erg goed. Snaren gaan ook redelijk lang mee, al voelen ze wel iets minder fijn aan dan het phosphor bronze dat ik eerst had.
Al met al prima snaren dus!

Snaren klinken akoestisch goed, hebben naar mijn smaak een meer metalig randje aan de sound dan andere snaren die ik tot nu toe gebruikte.
Echter......op mijn Epiphone EJ-200SCE werken ze niet goed samen met het nanoflex element. Aangesloten op een akoestische versterker ontstaat er vervorming in de lage tonen bij het inschakelen van dit element. Met piezo element werkt het prima. De aluminium kern werkt blijkbaar niet optimaal met het magnetische nanoflex element.
Duurzaamheid is prima.

Snaren klinken goed, maar twee van ze gebroken in zeer korte tijd. Voor deze prijs zou je iets verwachten dat meer duurzaam is.
