Bearing the very best specs that D’Angelico has to offer, every member of the fresh Excel Tammany Series boasts an all-solid construction and a Fishman Sonitone pickup. Mixing up the ideal blend of warmth, clarity and dynamic articulation, this OM-style model features a solid spruce soundboard and a solid mahogany back and sides, while the mahogany neck has been topped with a high-quality, twenty-fret ebony fretboard to guarantee fluid playability.
Quality Hardware & Electronics
Packed with thoughtful details, the Excel Tammany has an ebony bridge and bone saddle and nut as well as a high-grade set of Grover machine heads, complete with D’Angelico's signature stairstep tuning buttons. This foundation lays down ultra-reliable tuning and intonation alongside lush and musical sustain. Plugged in, the amplified sound is voiced by a high-grade Fishman Sonitone pickup complete with volume and tone controls, which have discretely tucked away just inside the soundhole. And to get it safely to rehearsals and gigs, D’Angelico include a form-fitting gig bag.

Heerlijke gitaar!
Ik kwam deze gitaar tegen op Bax voor een mega scherpe prijs (B-stock deal) Ik was redelijk onbekend met het merk, maar door de soepele retourvoorwaarden van Bax besloten de gitaar op zicht te bestellen. Wat er precies B-stock aan was heb ik nooit kunnen ontdekken want deze gitaar was gewoon nieuw.
De gitaar klinkt, ondanks het OM formaat, zeer vol, helder en rijk. Sustain is waanzinnig en de hals zeer goed bespeelbaar en satijnzacht. De ingebouwde pick up heb ik tot op heden nog niet geprobeerd, maar aangezien deze van een gerenomeerd merk is maak ik me hier geen zorgen over. De meegeleverde gigbag is ook erg fijn!
Zijn er dan geen minpunten? Ja toch wel een paar kleine. Zo waren de freteinden best scherp, deze heb ik zelf bijgewerkt. En ik vind het ontbreken van een pickguard wel een gemis. Helaas kan ik deze ook niet online bestellen. Wel een generieke natuurlijk, maar geen bijpassende.
Voor het geld echt top! Zeker een high-end gitaar. M’n FS830 is nu m’n back-up geworden.
