The popular products by this PA brand offer a combination of robust construction, audio quality and user-friendliness, with an attractive price tag. The Alto Pro TS212 is an active speaker with a 12-inch woofer and an even fuller, more bass-heavy sound than the 10-inch model from the same series. So, if you regularly play music via speakers, this is the obvious choice. You can go for one or two TS212s, optionally complemented by a subwoofer.
TS212: impressive capacity
The TS212 is part of Alto Pro's new Truesonic TS2 range, which distinguishes itself by offering a higher RMS capacity of 550 watts and a peak ceiling of 1100 watts. This means you can go ahead and turn up the volume without worrying about distorted audio. Furthermore, the TS2 speakers have been given a more modern, sleeker look. The mixer section is still located on the rear, however, along with two XLR/jack inputs for either a pair of mics or an external mixing console. You can also link two speakers via the XLR output and take advantage of various built-in safeties for extra reliability.

Ik heb hele nachten gespendeerd om lekker klinkende presets te maken. Door mijn hoofdtelefoon klonk alles fantastisch. Tot ik de Helix voor het eerst meenam naar een bandrepetitie en hem aansloot op mijn Markbass versterker. Er bleef niets over van mijn sound; alles klonk dof, muf en kwam niet door het totaalgeluid heen. Dat was wel een grote teleurstelling en ik had meteen spijt van mijn aankoop.
Tot ik me ging verdiepen in FRFR-versterkers (Full Range / Flat Response). Deze geven een volledig neutrale weergave van het ingevoerde signaal en geven niet de (merkgebonden) kleur aan de sound, zoals (bas-)gitaarversterkers dat doen. Dat is immers de taak van de Helix; anders heeft het geen zin en klinkt het voor geen meter.
In diverse FB-groepen voor Helix gebruikers kwamen de Alto speakers steevast goed uit recensies; zeker gezien de prijsklasse waarin ze zitten.
Zodoende heb ik een Alto Pro TS212 besteld. Deze werd keurig netjes en op tijd geleverd.
Tijdens de eerste thuis-test was ik meer dan aangenaam verrast door de sound op laag volume.
Bij de eerste praktijktest tijdens een bandrepetitie wist ik het zeker. Wat een sound en wat een power!!
Ik ben er zeer happy mee en wil de Alto dan ook oprecht aanbevelen in vergelijkbare situaties met een modeling-systeem à la de Helix LT.
Zodra de portemonnee het weer toelaat, koop ik er een tweede bij. Ik heb immers ook voor stereo betaald met de Helix! :)

Inmiddels is ook een andere school met dezelfde installatie verblijd! Zeer aan te raden!

Le son est bon. L'ampleur de la scène sonore conforme au prix, pour être honnête la 1/2 ou le 1/3 d'une QSC K12. Je l'ai choisie en complément de mon système de base pour diffuser dans une pièce à part, en terrasse etc. Je ne regrette pas mon achat de cette entrée de gamme. Bonne recherche...
