The DAS Audio ALTEA-S15A active subwoofer has a compact, bass reflex-style design for a powerful performance without taking up more space than necessary. An excellent choice for professionals and discerning consumers alike, this bass bin delivers the deepest frequencies with effortless ease thanks to a 15-inch DAS 15FW4 woofer, 600W AES power capacity and fully optimised cooling system.
Powerful And Flexible
The built-in class-D amplifier peaks at 1,200 Watts, resulting in a 131dB maximum SPL across a 40Hz to 125Hz frequency range. Supported by DAScontrol™, the DSP offers adjustable crossover frequencies, two voicings (deep/loud) and cardioid presets for a fuss-free, multi-unit set-up, all while PowerCON ports ensure reliable and pro-grade power linking.
Durability Meets Portability
The housing of the ALTEA-S15A is made from first-rate birch plywood finished with an ISOflex™ PU-coating for increased protection. It's also been furnished with a powder-coated front grille, side handles, and the option to mount rear wheels for eased transport.

J'avais déjà travaillé avec du DAS (caisson basse 18 pouces, ds8, et autres), sans aucun problème d'ailleurs.
Après utilisation, je peut maintenant donner mon avis sur le produit.
La fabrication est d'un grand sérieux (made in Spain) bien assemblé, très bien, c'est vraiment du pro.
J'ai acheté ces caissons en remplacement de deux de mes quatre caissons basse BST First - SA 18S DSP2 (donc du 18 pouces amplifié et 46,5kg). Aucun regret, 16,5 kg de moins, et bien plus compact (manutention du caisson bien plus facile tout seul).
Pour ce qui est du son, le niveau sonore disponible (avec un 15 pouces!) est tout à fait convainquant, la qualité sonore est très bonne; Je n'ai pas franchement ressenti un manque de basse, Par rapport à mes anciens 18 pouces (utilisation avec les mêmes satellites)
Un bon point pour la connectique (par rapport aux concurrents): entrée/sortie Powercon pour l'alimentation électrique, et du Neutrik aussi pour les XLR d'entrée et de sortie, parfait.
Un autre bon point pour le haut parleur monté, c'est un 15 pouces fabrication Espagnole, au châssis en alu (cela devient rare chez les autres marques, même prestigieuses).
Début d'année prochaine, j'en rachète d'ailleurs deux autres pour remplacer mes deux autres BST 18.
Parmi les autres produits comparable (chez les concurrents), je considère que ce modèle est correctement placé niveau prix, c'est bien sur, plus cher qu'un produit bas de gamme très souvent fabriqué en chine.
Donc un produit bien adapté à mon utilisation, et que je conseille à tous ceux qui recherche un caisson basse amplifié, compact, professionnel, au poids raisonnable, équipé de composants sérieux.
