General
Almost any rock classic that you hear has been played on an amplifier fitted with EL34 tubes. These give you a pure British-style sound that has plenty of compression and saturation. The well-known Brown Sound by Eddie Van Halen is also down to EL34 tubes. While Eddie may play on an amp with 6L6 tubes these days, the EVH 5150111S 100S EL34 will take you back to the sound he is best known for. There are no fewer than four EL34 tubes on board, giving you the sort of classic sound guitarists normally only dream of.
EVH 5150IIIS 100S EL34: versatile
This EVH tube amp head has 3 channels (clean, crunch and lead) that can be switched between easily using the included footswitch. With 8 preamp tubes and 4 power tubes, each of the channels has top-quality sound reproduction. A 3-band EQ as well as gain, volume and presence controls give you complete control per channel. There's even a resonance control for each channel on the rear, so that the response of the low tones can be adjusted more accurately. The combination of channels and controls give you a great deal of variety in the sounds you can make. Finally, its black and gold finish make the EVH 5150IIIS 100S EL34 Head look almost as good as it sounds.
