General

The Laney Lionheart L5-Studio is a compact 5W tube guitar amp head that gives you British boutique sounds. It's perfect for use at home, in the studio or for intimate performances. For those quieter moments, the amp head can also operate at 0.5 Watts by simply connecting to the Lo input instead of the Hi on the front panel. The preamp is equipped with three 12AX7 tubes and the power amp has a single EL84 tube.

Controls of the Laney Lionheart L5-Studio

With the included footswitch, it's possible to easily switch between the clean and drive channels and turn the reverb on and off. The reverb, 3-band EQ and tone potentiometer are shared between both channels. The clean and drive channels have separate volume controls, and the latter also has its own drive knob. All this is available at a price that's considerably less than similar tube amp heads.

Additional Possibilities...

As well as using the Laney Lionheart L5-Studio to practice at low volumes, it's possible to use the USB or XLR outputs from the internal Dummy Loadbox for recording purposes. If you want to practice in complete silence, you can use the headphone socket. As well as the switchable mono FX loop, you can choose to send either 5 or 0.5 Watts of power to a cabinet like the Lionheart LT112.

Les sons clairs sont terribles et offrent un base excellente pour mon pedalboard. La saturation va dun son crunchy et du rock style AC/DC. Cet ampli a été une véritable révélation!

Mijn favoriete versterker (naast mijn Fender hotrod, blues junior en blackstar ht-5). Klinkt heerlijk zoet en met voldoende bite. Lust heel graag pedalen van milde overdrive tot voluit distortion. Het overdrive kanaal gebruik ik niet, dan liever met pedaal ervoor. Maar de EQ geeft zoveel mogelijkheden, oneindig veel variatie. En met zoveel in (high/low) en uitgangen (DI, 1 watt en 5 watt speaker out, headphone met cab sim). Ik schakel graag van speakerkast (jensen of celestion V30) en door interne loadbox kun je dit zelfs doen zonder de versterker uit te schakelen, dat kun je op andere versterkers niet zo maar doen, daar kan de Laney gewoon tegen.
En voor die prijs....geweldig, echt een aanrader.

Dit is wel een heel leuk versterkertje.....
Ik heb wat Fenders en Marshall tops(Plexis) die heel vet klinken maar een beetje te hard gaan voor thuis dus wilde ik iets lichters.
Dat werd dus de Laney top die ik via een 2x12 kast met Celestion V30 laat brullen , en wat klinkt dat goed.
Clean kanaal kan best concureren met een Fender amp en de ingebouwde digitale reverb klinkt prima.
Het overdrive kanaal is ook prima in orden en persoonlijk vind ik dit kanaal het mooist met de gain op 5 a 7.
Pedalen lust hij ook goed en via de effectlus gebruik ik er zonder problemen een Novasystem op.
De opname mogelijkheden heb ik nauwelijks nog ontdekt maar een eerste test klonk zeer overtuigend.
Ik kan nog wel even door gaan maar voor dit geld vind je waarschijnlijk geen beter klinkende versterker met een vermogen van 5 watt.
Klinkt werkleijk geweldig en ik krijg er in combi met een comprssor, Overdrive pedaal heel mooie warme klanken nuit, zkere als de buizen goed opgewarmd zijn.
En.........ondanks het bescheiden formaat vind ik hem ook nog een mooi met dat blauwe tolex.

een goed klinkende buizenversterker, heb deze gekocht in combinatie met het LT112 speakerkast. de versterker klinkt prachtig, en ziet er ook mooi uit! (nouja, het is in ieder geval mijn smaak)

Erg tevreden over mijn aankoop, Het lage vermogen zorgt dat dit ook in de woonkamer en voor kleine optredens, zoals in een cafe goed gebruikt kan worden.

aan te raden als je een vintage klinkende versterker zoekt, en je blauw een mooie kleur vindt ;)
