RCF doesn't only make outstanding speaker cabinets and parts, but they also have a serious series of mixers. The RCF L-PAD16CX USB is a 16-channel mixer with four subgroups, ten microphone and line inputs, four stereo inputs, four group outputs, tone control and an internal effects section. It was designed specifically for live applications and is equipped with two transparent-sounding microphone preamps with plenty of head room, so you can enjoy the entire dynamic range of your sound source. An expansion slot is also available for equipping the mixer with an MP3 player or Bluetooth module.
The Livepad and the expansion modules
A number of mixers from the Livepad series, including this 16CX USB, are equipped with an expansion slot on top of the mixer. Once you remove the cover, you have room to add one of the 3 option expansion modules. These work to add an attractive bit of extra functionality to your mixer and to further adjust it to suit your personal preferences. The three available modules include an MP3 player, an MP3 player with recording functionality, and a Bluetooth module. With the MP3 module you can simply connect your USB stick and play your favourite music from the mixer. If you add the MP3/recording module, you can easily make stereo recordings of your performance and save them to your USB stick. Finally, you can use the Bluetooth module to wirelessly stream music to the mixer from any Bluetooth device.
Many possibilities with this compact mixer
Along with the 10 microphone inputs, this mixer is also equipped with four stereo inputs. These give you the ability to mix a small band, or you can use them for audio applications during conferences or church services. The four subgroups make it possible to combine different channels so you can operate them with one fader, which is convenient for drums, or when you want to give multiple vocalists the same effect. Additionally, there is a USB port available for easily connecting with your laptop or PC, so you can play music from the mixing console or make a two-track recording of the end mix. Finally, the 60mm faders have been expansively tested, and can be used to make sensitive adjustments to the volume, per track.
