General
The Shure UA221 is a passive antenna splitter/combiner kit. Use it to split an incoming signal into two outgoing signals, or to combine two incoming signals into a single signal. The UA221 kit consists of two adapters that can be used as one input/two output or as two input/one output, and is suitable for UC4, SLX4, ULXS4, ULXP4, U4S, U4D, UR4S and UR4D receivers. Shure recommends that you use the UA221 with US820 ½ wave antennas, which offer up to 3 dB of additional gain compared to standard ¼ wave antennas, compensating for the signal loss in splitting applications. Each kit consists of a pair of UA221 splitters/combiners, four coaxial cables and the necessary connecting hardware.
