PACE is the manufacturer and developer of the iLok 3, a USB dongle on which purchased software licenses can be stored and used via the iLok License Manager. This reliable system was designed to prevent the act of downloading software illegally, better known as piracy. Compared to its predecessor, the iLok 2, this iLok 3 is more compact and faster. It has a sturdy metal housing, and can hold 1,500 licenses instead of its predecessor's 500 . The iLok 3 replaces the iLok 2, the latter is no longer supplied or supported.

Friday 28 October 2016 by LizannePACE is well known for the iLok system, which was developed in an effort to prevent piracy, which is the act of downloading software illegally. In combination with the iLok License Manager, you can register your purchased software (plugins) and store the license on the iLok USB Dongle. If you replace the iLok 2 with this new iLok 3, the 2 immediately becomes obsolete.
