General
Due to new technology and developments, 3D film and video are becoming increasingly popular. Audio, however, has yet to catch up. A shame, really, as 3D video and 3D audio go together really well.
Fortunately, Roland have developed a perfect way to let you experience what it is like to be on location and to hear what somebody else is hearing. The concept of the CS-10EM sounds very complicated, but is in fact brilliantly designed.
An in-ear system with two in-ear headphones forms the basis of the CS-10EM and provides you with a realistic audio reproduction. The true technological feat of this concept is that both in-ear headphones are equipped with a microphone. Consequently, the sound that would normally enter your ears is now registered by the microphones and recorded by the recorder, providing you with a life-like audio recording.
Once you are at home and able to experience the complete picture, you'll really notice what a difference the CS-10EM earphones make. Like a stereo recording, left and right have been recorded separately, but the CS-10EM in-ear headphones capture the sound exactly like the person who made the recording heard it.

Boven verwachting, helemaal gezien de prijs. Wel opletten dat je recorder plug-in power (PiP) ondersteunt, ik gebruik deze set met zowel m'n camera (OM-5) als de Xvive recorder, in 32-bit floating mode. Bijzonder realistische opname, je wordt ondergedompeld in de omgeving. Mocht je de natuur in willen: de meegeleverde schuimrubber 'wind stoppers' doen nagenoeg niks. Ik heb twee piepkleine dooie muizen gekocht (ze zijn te klein om voor dead cat door te gaan), die eigenlijk bedoeld zijn voor lavalier mics, en die met dubbelzijdig tape rondom de microfoons bevestigd. Je loopt voor gek met die pluizen uit je oren, alsof je hóógnodig naar een barbier moet, maar het werkt fantastisch: je kunt buitenshuis ook bij een redelijk briesje mooi opnames maken. Toen nog een paar kabelclipjes gekocht om de kabel te fixeren op m'n kleding zodat je van het contactgeluid af bent, en klaar is Kees.

Deze Roland CS-10EM aangeschaft voor het opnemen van omgevingsgeluiden. O.a. tijdens wandelingen. Dit gaat voortreffelijk! Dopjes in je oren, en gaan! Beter dan een grotere opvallende microfoon vasthouden. De opnames hiermee zijn super! Wel even de kabel langs een extra knoopje in de blouse laten lopen om kabelgeluiden te voorkomen bij stevig wandelen. Ik wist ook dat deze erg gevoelig is voor wind, en dat was ook meteen merkbaar. De bijgeleverde windkapjes helpen eigenlijk niet echt. Gelukkig had ik nog 2 "fluffy" windschermpjes voor een lavalier microfoon. Deze kon ik er net op schuiven en bleef eigenlijk prima zitten. Dit was meteen een wereld van verschil. Perfect zo! Ik ben er blij mee!

Ik kan me aansluiten bij de eerdere reviews. Wel even opletten met monitoring: bij een wat hoger volume beginnen de oordoppen rond te zingen. Een extreem opwekkende maar pijnlijke ervaring voor de oren. Omstanders moesten er wel smakelijk om lachen toen mijn recorder met deze microfoons zo gezegd flink begon te fluiten. Maar als je het monitoren niet te hard zet kun je fenomenale opnames maken. Wij hebben dat bijvoorbeeld gedaan van autobussen. Thuis luisterend doe je haast een stapje achteruit omdat je bang bent platgereden te worden.

buitengewoon natuurgetrouw stereo beeld. Buiten met wind heb je de bijgeleverde windkapjes echt nodig, maar bij hevige wind werken die ook niet meer.
dit is voor mij geen onoverkomelijk probleem. kwestie van een windstille dag uitzoeken, of je hoofd zo draaien dat de wind niet recht in de mics blaast.
voor de rest was dit de beste aanschaf in tijden. Als je soundscapes wil opnemen is dit je ding.
onlangs op het strand langs het water gelopen, oordopjes in en opnemen. thuis luisteren en ik had het gevoel alsof ik het water aan kon raken. subliem.
kwam er bij levering pas achter dat de microfoons een voedings spanning nodig hebben via de plug.
eigen fout, had ik maar beter moeten lezen. dus de microfoon deed het niet op mijn tascam recorder. balen. gelukkig had ik nog een oude zoom liggen die wel voedings spanning gaf. 5 sterren zonder twijfel

Un prodotto davvero eccellente, accoppiato ad un registratore di buona qualità produce un suono davvero fuori dal comune. Le registrazioni diventano "immersive" e se sono accoppiate ad un video l'effetto "wow" è garantito!
Io le ho usate in coppia con uno ZOOM H2N, letteralmente sfavillanti assieme. L'unica cosa a cui dovete fare attenzione è: se usate le cuffie per monitorare l'audio non settate troppo alto il volume di playback o potreste incorrere in un feedback acustico (suono stridulo) che potrebbe creare danni all'orecchio. Tenete sempre basso il volume, non di registrazione (guadagno) ma di playback.
Parlando di guadagno, è forse questa la cosa a cui dovete stare più attenti, sebbene il microfono sia di buona qualità, l'audio prodotto è piuttosto basso. Sarete tentati di alzare il guadagno, ma non eccedete o comincerete a sentire il solito rumore di sottofondo.
