General
The Adam T5V active studio monitor (sold per unit) is a chance for studios just starting out, to own a product normally exclusive to professional, high-end studios. Due to an excellent ribbon tweeter for tight high tones, and a powerful 5-inch woofer, the frequency range of this speaker gives you a lot of room at 45 Hz to 25 kHz. This is an active monitor, so it does not require an amplifier. Simply connect an audio source, such as your audio interface, and start mixing! It will provide crystal-clear, balanced audio and a broad sweet spot, all of which is essential to accurate mixing work and is precisely what has earned Adam monitors their elevated status. This unusually affordable speaker is yet another example of their prowess.

They’re good. Of course they are - you’d expect that. One criticism, which is why they only get 4 stars from me, is that if you turn the mains off before switching the speakers off individually, then there’s a massive bang from the speakers. I don’t know if it’s bad enough to cause damage, but this simply should not happen and is a design flaw. I cannot be the only one to power my studio from a single mains switch.
I bought these to replace some older JBL 5” monitors which were developing case vibrations due to age. Strangely, I was delighted that the Adams sound very similar to the JBLs - as one would expect from studio monitors. Yes the ribbon tweeters add clarity on instruments like violins, but overall I would say they’re almost indistinguishable from the JBLs. I am very happy with them but I hope that the next generation sort-out the dreadful transient when the mains is switched off as that’s an unforgivable flaw.

Excellent speakers, I bought them for enjoyment, not for work, but they are waaaaay better than the price would suggest. If you want an upgrade from this, you have to spend a lot more money.

Tres satisfait de ce model de monitoring pour mon mini studio. Repond exactement a mon besoin en terme de qualite et finesse du son. Pour exploiter a 100% mettre sur des supports avec des pads anti vibrations, et poser les supports avec les spikes sur un revetement anti vibration en polymere. Bien orienter vers soi distance entre 1m et 1m20, et distance entre les moniteurs 1m20. Hauteur bien en face de soi, et l ensemble pas trop pres du mur. La taille de la piece entre 12 et 18 m2 avec un revetement absobant pour eviter les reflexions parasites. Dans ces conditions le resultat est vraiment fabuleux.

Mij setup: T5V op Innox IVA MON-07 desktop statieven, Focusrite Solo, NAM plugin via Ableton Lite 12.
Zat eerst te twijfelen of ik toch niet voor de T8V's moest gaan maar ben blij toch voor deze te hebben gekozen want de T8V waren zeker te groot geweest voor op m'n bureau. De bas van de T5V's is echt ruimvoldoende voor mijn studioruimte blijkt. De afmeting van deze ruimte is ongeveer 3x3x3,5. Heel tevreden mee.

Very good speakers! Use them for house parties, and the bass is deep and the highs are crisp, even at the loudest settings. Easy to set up and use, and the case is minimal and looks slick. Good buy

Dit zijn mijn eerste echte studio monitoren. Ik Heb de set nu bijna een week en ben er erg tevreden mee. Er komt uitstekende geluidskwaliteit uit en zeker voor de prijs wat het zeker wel waard was. Zat nog te twijfelen tussen de t7v ivm de bass maar de t5v geeft meer dan genoeg bass voor mijn doen.
Was fijn geweest als er een kabel bij zou zitten om ze mee aan te sluiten. Gelukkig had ik die zelf.
Levering was optijd alleen jammer dat de doos kapot was om een of andere reden maar dit heeft gelukkig niks gedaan met de speakers zelf
