General

This fourth version of Fender's popular 1x12 Hot Rod Deluxe tube amplifier combo has been updated in terms of looks as well as performance. The single 12-inch Celestion A-Type speaker offers a better-balanced sound with beautifully rounded lows and sparkling highs that never get too bright. The preamp has also been improved to ensure that sufficient articulation remains even when overdriven.

Hot Rod Deluxe IV: More Upgrades

The spring reverb has been fine-tuned according to the wishes of fans of the previous models. This means that it sounds slightly richer and more rounded than before. No matter how much reverb you apply, none of the sparkle is lost. It's possible to use your own effects pedals as well, of course. What hasn't changed is the lightweight and robust build of this Fender tube amp combo's solid pine cabinet, coated in with black textured vinyl.

Ik had al een Hotrod in de oefenruimte staan maar wilde er eentje bij om thuis te repeteren.
De Hotrod staat bekend om zijn mooie cleane kanaal dat prima gaat met pedalen, zo ook weer met deze.Deze nieuwe versie is uitgevoerd met een celestion type A speaker wat een hele verbetering is in vergelijking met de vroegere Fender speakers, toch ga ik hier ook weer een celestion G12H in zetten, net als in mijn andere versterker.
Deze vindt ik toch mooier klinken maar dat is puur persoonlijk en ik heb er nog eentje liggen. Deze versterker blijft mijn favoriet.

Un super ampli ! il n'a plus besoin d'être présenté ! des sons clairs et chauds et des distorsions pour tous les goûts ! Une grosse polyvalence ! C’est un réel plaisir d’utiliser des pédales sur cet ampli, elles passent super bien et le son n’est pas dénaturé !

Ik kocht deze versterker 28 februari en had hem 2 maart in huis. De Hot Rod heeft een mooi clean geluid, dat toch niet te scherp is, precies goed. Het clean kanaal werkt prima met pedalen. Ik gebruik een Tubescreamer, en die geeft een schitterend overdrive geluid bij het clean kanaal. Het drive-kanaal functioneert ook prima. Goed bruikbaar voor blues en rock. Het is een 45 watt versterker, waarmee ik thuis, in het repetitielokaal en bij optredens prima uit de voeten kan. De versterker is niet echt licht, maar zeker draagbaar. Beter te tillen dan de meeste versterkers van dit kaliber. Een prima amp om mee te oefenen en op te treden.
