The MKII edition of the popular Walrus Audio M1 comes with a few brand-new functions and improved stage and studio performance - from the addition of stereo inputs and outputs to the studio-quality of the six on-board modulation modes. Select the chorus, phaser, tremolo, vibrato, rotary or filter and scroll through all of the greatest hits of mod, from '80s-inspired sounds to raw, Lo-Fi textures - it's all here.

The Walrus Audio Mako M1 MKII: Big Sound

Each modulation mode includes three different types, kitting out this pedal with endless options when it comes to building custom mod effects. Via the BPM control, the tempo of the chorus, the phaser, the tremolo and the vibrato can be accurately set so you're always in perfect sync. The extra Lo-Fi pot can also be twisted to subtly degrade the signal, giving you a more nostalgic, vintage vibe and some tasty well-worn character.

Effortless

When it comes to the controls, the Walrus Audio Mako M1 MKII comes with the extra depth of secondary control elements for each modulation type and, thanks to the stacked encoder pots, navigating all of the programmes and parameters is pretty much effortless. Once you've moulded and shaped your custom mod sounds to taste, they can be saved to one of 128 on-board preset slots to be called up later - fully setting up this stompbox for gigging, while the menu accessed via the display screen hands you full control over the secondary parameters, the Lo-Fi settings and preset management.
