General

Pittsburgh Modular is an American maker of Eurorack modules who has finally decided to launch a bigger and more complete synth: the Taiga. This semi-modular synthesizer comes in the familiar form of a desktop module decked out with a large collection of patch ports that can be interconnected at will. What's great is that every time you change the routing, you basically get a different synth. The core of the in-built modules encompasses three oscillators, a noise generator, a mixer, a filter, two ADSR envelopes, and an echo module. Finished with wooden side panels, the Taiga adds an elegant touch to any sound-synthesis savant willing to enter Eurorack land.

Wrote the following about Pittsburgh Modular Taiga Synthesizer

Het duurde even voordat ik er echt aan toe kwam, maar uiteindelijk een erg fijne synthesizer met een mooi geluid. Door de rijke opties aan waveforms, en daar dan nog Wave shaping (folding) erbij kun je hier een rijk divers geluid uit halen. Echt een uniek instrument in mijn studio waar ik in de toekomst veel plezier uit ga halen, en die een top toevoeging is voor mijn idëeen.
Het is even wennen dat je de een edit knop moet gebruiken om tot bepaalde functies te komen, maar zodra dat er in zit is dat eigenlijk geen issue meer.
