General

This 2-cymbal stack from Paiste sounds as special as it looks. The PST X Swiss Flanger Stack consists of two 14-inch cymbals, each with upward-facing cups. Paiste's PST X series of cymbals is made in Switzerland, which is appropriate considering the holes in the cymbals are reminiscent of the holes typically found in Swiss cheese. The holes give the cymbals a unique washy, earthy sound that is average in volume with a fast response time.

Different sounds

The sound produced differs depending on how much you tighten the cymbals. Tighter they will produce more of a dry hi-hat type sound. Looser the sound produced will be more of a shattering crash. The top cymbal is medium-thin, while the bottom cymbal is thin. The intensity of these effect cymbals is lively with a short sustain.

Prima stack voor deze prijs . Geeft een mooie trashy sound als ze niet (te) strak aangedraaid zijn en dat was waar ik naar op zoek was. Door het formaat niet te overheersend aanwezig, maar wel duidelijk herkenbaar (denk ik, had nog geen andere ervaringen met gestackte bekkens).

Sound uiteraard aan te passen naar wat je zelf zoekt / wilt. Vind de video in deze productinfo niet zo goed weergeven wat deze stack doet qua sound. Er zijn op Youtube betere te vinden, op basis waarvan ik mijn keuze voor deze stak gemaakt heb.

Levering door Bax was uitermate prettig, werd de volgende dag netjes verpakt bezorgd.
