General

The future-ready second generation Sire Marcus Miller V3 is not only technically streamlined but the price has been shaved down as well. This refreshed version differs from its forerunner on three points: the mahogany body is now mounted with Marcus Standard J-Revolution pickups for a bright and transparent P-bass style sound; the edges of the rosewood fretboard have been considerately rounded off to improve playing comfort, and the battery compartment cover is made of ash. Sire have evidently been busy dotting all the 'i's when developing this V3.

The Marcus Miller V3-4: Comprehensive Tone Controls

This bass comes fitted with an 18V Marcus Heritage-3 preamplifier that guarantees powerful amplification of the pure, natural sound of this V3. Active mode can be switched off for a passive bass sound and besides the 3-band EQ, you get an extensive midrange control that can accurately toggle the frequency from 80Hz to 2kHz, resulting in a fully customisable sound. Meanwhile, the steel Marcus Standard Bass Bridge, stable open gear machine heads and bone string nut complete the tonal balance.

Ik was op zoek om te starten met een basgitaar. Deze Sire Marcus Miller V3-4 2nd Generation Black viel mij op om de mooie klanken bij de testing in de winkel zelf.
Ben nu erg tevreden met deze met deze basgitaar. Een absolute aanrader voor beginners en gevorderde bassisten.

De Sire bass V3 is een waardig instrument, met veel klank eigenschappen van rock , soul , funk, tot slap ect.

Speelbaarheid na een persoonlijke afstel beurt als zeer prettig te ervaren! Elementen zeer goed, alhoewel moet men deze in ( mijn geval ) ff goed afstellen, de lage E was wat overmatig hard en diep vooral tijdens het slapen, maar dat is nu opgelost! ( is uiteraard afhankelijk van je aanslag en speelstijl! ) Al bij al een kwalitatief goed instrument, vooral in deze prijsklasse zul je zoiets niet snel tegen komen! vandaar dat de V3 kan aanbevelen voor de beginnende en gevorderde bassisten aanbevelen, voor de profs onder ons, een waardige back-up bass! ;-)
