Flexing the same smooth ease of use as the SL-1210MK7, the professional-grade Technics SL-1200MK7 deck comes in a sleek metallic finish and complete with a full accessory pack, including a slip mat, dust cover and the necessary cables. This direct-drive turntable features a 'coreless' motor, which not only pushes down the weight and prevents cogging to ensure stutter-free performance, but reduces the regular maintenance needed when compared to more classic Technics decks.

The Technics SL-1200 MK7: Classic Turntable, New Tricks

The MK7 SL-1200 might look familiar, but serves up a few new tricks. An internal microchip that's been taken from Blu-Ray technology makes this turntable more accurate than ever, even when scratching. The power is now adjustable as well as the motor braking time and, if you have a stylus that supports it, you can use the 'reverse platter play' function. Another welcome tweak is the inclusion of power and connection cables you can actually unplug instead of the old-school fixed cables.
