General

The Q3 from Sire's Larry Carlton line gives you a refreshing twist that classic double cutaway guitar body. Not only does this electric guitar have an exceptionally light mahogany body, it also has an ergonomic design which immediately ensures a very pleasant playing comfort. The slim profile of the glued mahogany neck and the slightly flatter 10-inch radius definitely contribute to this in particular. As the rosewood fingerboard is pleasantly rounded via Sire's special Edgeless process, playing guitar for a long time without fatigue is also no problem at all. The medium jumbo frets further contribute to great ease in playing your chords and enable expressive bends and fast licks.

Q3: from clean to distorted, from humbucker to coil-split singlecoil

To give you a solid foundation and a fine selection of solid amplified guitar sounds right away, this Sire Larry Carlton features an HH element configuration with 3-way switch and potentiometers for volume and tone. These LC Standard humbuckers are designed to give you warm, powerful tones. This makes this solidbody guitar perfect for dynamic playing at even the higher gain levels. At both clean and heavily distorted levels, your sounds remain clear and balanced. Via the push/pull function under the tone knob, you can easily switch to those singlecoil-style coil-split guitar sounds to give you even more tonal diversity. This makes the Q3 excellent for a wide variety of musical styles.

Reliable, stable and solid

Sire has also equipped this Q3 electric guitar with reliable, stable and solid hardware. The Standard 6-Point Bridge delivers both a classic look and solid intonation for each string. The closed oil-bath tuning machines contribute to stable tuning possible even with regular tremolo use. In addition, the 43-millimetre nut is also made of real bone. This Larry Carlton guitar also carries very subtle rectangular position blocks made of a luxurious-looking combination of white pearloid and abalone. Considering all the above, with the Sire Q3 you have an excellent electric solidbody in your hands at a surprisingly affordable price.
