General

Meet the Ui16, the Ui12's big brother! With this mixer, Soundcraft proves that a durable digital mixer doesn't have to be big to be good. What is remarkable, though, is the lack of most control functions. There are only three volume knobs that can be used to adjust the master volume. You see, the Ui16 is operable via built-in Wi-Fi using Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad or Android device. Even Linux computers are compatible, which means there will always be a device nearby to operate this mixer. What's more, you can allow access of up to ten devices at once to the mixer so each musician can fine-tune their own monitor mix.

The Soundcraft Ui16: Twelve Mic Inputs!

There are a whopping twelve microphone inputs on this mixer, eight of which are XLR/jack combination inputs. Two of these are high-Z inputs, which allow you to connect a guitar or a bass guitar. You'll never need a DI or adapter again! On top of all this, the Ui16 also has four standard XLR inputs, and an RCA stereo input to hook up a media player. For playing media directly from a stick, a USB port is also provided. Finally, it's also possible to make a two-channel recording directly to a USB stick or a hard drive. When it comes to outputs, the Ui16 has two masters and four XLR auxiliaries.

Processing & Feedback Suppression

Of course, this mixer also offers the ability to edit your audio, featuring a 4-band EQ, compressor, de-esser and a noise gate on every channel. Three FX processors are driven by a bus structure. The two instrument inputs feature Digitech Amp & Stompbox modelling software, so simply plug in a guitar and enjoy those marvellous axe sounds. Every output is also equipped with dbx AFS2 feedback suppression, so you can make optimal use of your system without being concerned about annoying feedback noise.
