General

This is the freshest-faced edition of a genre-defining vintage classic: the Gibson Modern Collection ES-335. Complete with familiar thinline, archtop hollow-body, and coated in a sleek Satin finish for a lush and natural fee, this model takes all of its cues from the 1958 original. As such, the American-made ES-335 packs the faithful fifties tone and playability provided by a rounded, C-profile neck, 12" fretboard radius and medium jumbo frets. The Gibson-grade bonus is the more reliable, modern build and enhanced flexibility of up-to-date electronics.

The ES-335 Satin: Tonal Flexibility & Calibrated T-Type Humbuckers

The near gymnastic tonal flexibility of the renewed ES-335 is definitely down to the mounted pair of forceful Gibson Calibrated T-Type humbuckers. These humbuckers have been carefully hand-wired to ensure that the already bright, sustain-rich acoustic foundation is voiced with an accurate and controlled low-gain output, and rounded off by a sweet high-end. The vast sonic range that results is navigated using a classic set of two volume pots and two tone pots and a 3-way switch. Every bit of hardware has been nickel-plated to finish the vintage feel of this model while the more contemporary tweak of the GraphTech nut lends welcome stability to the tuning and intonation. The semi-acoustic ES-335 comes complete with a hardshell case and Gibson Accessory Kit.
