General

The Gibson Explorer '76 Reissue Ebony 2004 is a real eye-catcher thanks to its sharp, angular body design that finds its roots in the original 1976 model. Beneath the elegant black nitrocellulose paint lurks a solid mahogany body with a matching set neck, providing rich sustain and a warm tone. The powerful, passive Gibson humbuckers - a 500T at the neck and a 496R at the bridge - deliver a hefty, sparkling sound that lends itself perfectly to solid rock and metal. With Grover tuners, a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and the tried-and-tested Tune-o-Matic bridge design, this Explorer plays smoothly ánd stays in excellent tune. The original hard case completes the picture.
