What is a B-Stock Item? Any item we can no longer sell as new is labelled B-stock. Joining forces with none-other-than Mike Piera - the man responsible for The Analog Man - the MXR Custom Shop presents the slim and dapper Duke of Tone. This overdrive pedal wraps guitar tone in a warm blanket then piles on some tasty dirt, all while retaining the pure and natural dynamic sound of your guitar and amp. Based on the Prince of Tone, which in turn, is the one-channel edition of the King of Tone; the Duke is a dream pedal for any vintage stompbox devotee.

The MXR Duke of Tone Overdrive:

The MXR Duke of Tone lays down a warm yet articulate foundation that seeks out and emphasises even the most subtle nuances of your effects chain and setup: from your string-gauge to the dynamic response of your valve amplifier. Besides a standard-issue set of Drive and Tone pots, a three-way mini-switch toggles between Boost mode: a sweet yet solid clean boost; OD mode which defines the output with a touch more bite and compression; and Distortion, which sharpens up the trebles to shape fierce, tearing output. Set up this pedal as a booster or stack it with other gain pedals.

Mooi pedaaltje, lekkere sound. De grootte (of eigenlijk het kleine formaat) was de doorslaggevende factor. Erg lekker voor een ‘randje’, of net wat meer volume.

Super pedaal !! In de Boost setting welhaast als een Klon pedaal te gebruiken en in de OD setting prima inzetbaar om je toon dikker en warmer te maken !! Top product met veel klank mogelijkheden !!
Kan zich heel goed met zijn grote broer meten ;-)
Ben zeer tevreden, daarbij neemt het nauwelijks plaats in op je Pedalboard: geweldig toch.

Zeer geslaagde custom overdrive die goed functioneert met de Fender Princeton en telecaster, duidelijk verschil tussen de drie voicings waarbij de distortion voor mij teveel compressie geeft en de overdrive en boost een fijne open sound geeft. Uit dezelfde lijn gebruik ik soms ook een Timmy maar ben toch meer te spreken over dit pedaal dat veel meer tonale opties geeft
