The Spark EDGE: Smart Tech

Spark app integration gives you a wealth of options, ranging from exploring many different sounds and effects, to fine-tuning your sound with the help of smart functions like Spark AI preset generation based on user input. In total, there are over 100,000 different sounds to discover and, thanks to effects for vocals, guitars and keyboards, you can effortlessly add an extra dimension to any track. You even get sixteen customisable preset slots so you can call up your favourite sounds at will.

Jamming, Busking and Chilling

Another helpful feature is the built-in Groove Looper, which supplies hundreds of drum tracks you can jam over. The Spark EDGE also has a dedicated mixer with a master EQ section for accurate control over the sound, and you can stream music from your phone via Bluetooth. I'm using this with a battery for my telecaster at open mics and the like. It's fantastically quick to set up, I plug line out into the PA, plug in the guitar, and I'm good to go with a guaranteed decent quality monitor at my feet. The modelling/sound is good quality. It's also great as a busking amp. Bluetooth connection is reliable and the library of sounds is really useful. If you just want a deep modeller, practice amp or an interface there may be better options, but for what I want this is the perfect product.

Een fijne compacte (oefen)versterker met vele mogelijkheden. Een electrische of acoustische gitaar zijn hier prima op aan te sluiten. Door de vele preset mogelijkheden heb je snel je eigen geluid ingesteld. Daarbij maakt het gebruik van de bijbehorende app de versterker een apparaat met ongekende mogelijkheden. Hij is eenvoudig mee te nemen en door het plaatsen van de optionele accu ook eenvoudig op plaatsen te gebuiken waar geen stroom voorhanden is. Ideaal voor straatmuzikanten doordat er ook nog eenvoudig een extra microfoon op aan te sluiten is.
