The Revv Amplification G3 V2 is hailed by many a guitar expert as one of the best distortion pedals of all time. Dan Trudeau, director and chief designer, brings with this G3 a convincing transistor version of Revv's famous "Purple channel" in a convenient stompbox format. This effects pedal has been in development for more than a year, with 16 revisions. Indeed, the aim was to develop a distortion that not only sounds great, but also feels great while playing.

I've bought this pedal for my live-gig pedalboard.
It does one thing, but does it at perfection level - tight rhythm lines and "liquid" solos.
Three-position toggle switches "aggression" level, which controls how smooth/sharp is the distortion tone - very practical feature to adjust how your guitar will sit in an entire band context.
It stands great on it's own, but in case you want to add even more to your lead tone - it takes all types of boost pedals very well: clean boost, TS-, ODR-, K-style, so you can add the exact flavor you need.
From pure practical point of view it has a solid and durable metal enclosure with top-mount jacks, which saves you from a lot of headache when the space is limited.
I've tried A LOT of options over the last 2 years and this is by far the best high-gain pedal I have.

Dit pedaal is een absolute aanrader voor high-gain tones. Het klinkt ongelooflijk strak, duidelijk en amp-achtig, met een enorme sustain en clarity die je zelden hoort bij distortion pedalen. Het voelt echt als een high-end amp channel in een compact pedaal. Absoluut een van de beste distortion pedalen die ik ooit heb gespeeld. Aanrader!
