General

Keeping things classic yet lightweight and comfortably formed for the beginner bassist, the Fazley Piranha 4 bass guitar features a solid P-style basswood body and the familiar punch of a split-single coil pickup. The choice of basswood doesn't just reduce the load but lays down a full mid-range and enhanced note definition while the solid bolt-on Canadian maple neck adds a touch of bite. The neck has been roasted, reducing the moisture content in the wood to increase density and prevent warping, which here, combines with a high-grade Graph Tech TUSQ nut to enhance resonance, and since the neck also boasts the lighter feel of a modern C-profile and a set of twenty-one medium-jumbo frets, the playability is also on point. Plugged in, the split-single coil pickup delivers balanced sound that can be tweaked to taste via the fitted tone and volume pots, and so your new four-string can be safely toted to lessons, rehearsals and gigs, it comes pre-wrapped in a form-fitting gig bag.

Encantado con el bajo. La unidad que me llegó a mí no tiene una pega que ponerle en cuanto al mueble. El peso no es excesivo, el cuerpo asienta bien y está bien acabado; el mástil es anchito y gordito, como a mí me gusta, y el acabado de trastes perfecto, sin bordes afilados ni trastes desnivelados. No cabecea, al menos no de una manera notoria, con una correa ancha se queda donde yo lo dejo. EL puente es el modelo clásico que tiene cualquier marca, que no por sencillo deja de ser efectivo. Las clavijas de afinación son sorprendentemente fiables y correctas para esta gama de precios (supongo que con unas más ligeras el balance será aún mejor). Evidentemente el punto débil es la electrónica: la pastilla es algo sosa y con poca salida y los potes rascan un poco; hace bastante ruido de masa. Con un apantallado bien hecho, una pastilla decente y unos buenos potes se queda un instrumento fantástico por un precio de risa. Yo pillé una oferta de Black Friday 2025 y me costó 60€ + 12€ de envío. A día de hoy ha regresado a su precio de 178€; aún así sigo creyendo que puede merecer la pena. Tuve mis dudas sobre hacer el pedido por las malísimas críticas que tiene la tienda y su servicio al cliente; yo no tuve ningún problema, pero mi caso particular no es representativo de todos. Es cuestión de valorar si merece la pena el riesgo.
