General

The Gretsch G5655TG Electromatic Centerblock Junior is an undeniably gorgeous semi-acoustic guitar from the Electromatic Series. A little slimmer than other semi-acoustic guitars, the G5655TG comes with a high level of playing comfort while producing that full-sized, fat Gretsch sound. The maple body has an Amethyst finish and matching gold-plated hardware, including an Adjusto-Matic bridge with Bigsby B70 tailpiece.

The G5655TG: A Feedback-Countering Centerblock and Black Top Broad’Tron Pickups

Since this is a Centerblock Junior-style model, it's built with a solid piece of pine that runs down the middle and essentially divides the resonance chamber in two. As a result, feedback is minimised even when overdrive is kicked in. Mounted with two Black Top Broad'Tron pickups, the G5655TG generates powerful tone supported by plenty of punch and more than enough articulation and dynamics to ensure that any rhythm or lead parts poke right through the mix.
