The Elixir 12052 Light is not just any old standard 010 string set for electric guitar! The wound strings in this set have a special ultra-thin Nanoweb protective layer, that acts against corrosion and dirt getting in at your guitar strings. The unwound strings are galvanised with an anti-corrosive layer. These coatings ensure that the Elixir 12052 strings last up to 5 times longer and keep their original sound longer than traditional electric guitar strings. The strings are made of steel and nickel-wound steel and produce a warm sound with very nice trebles. Whatever your music or playing style might be, the Elixir strings always create the right tone!

Why choose Elixir coated electric strings?

The grime that gathers on the tips of your fingers, as well as the moisture that is in the air can speed up string corrosion. The amassing of small particles of dirt can also hinder the string’s vibration, making its frequencies lose intensity and making the string sound ‘dead’.
