As the 8-string electric guitar has become a more familiar sight, a demand for a specially compiled string set has increased. Happily, Ernie Ball meets this demand with these 2625 8-String Slinky strings. The unwound strings come out of an 010 set and the wound strings are comparable to an 012 set. You will therefore be able to bend the thinner strings easily for solos, but as the thicker strings are more rigid, they will remain perfectly taut during quick, intense riffs. No more slack, clattering string; these strings provide you with a tight and full tone!
Material and packaging of the strings
Slinky strings for electric guitar are made of the finest and purest raw materials. The wound strings are made of nickelled steel, wound round a hexagonal steel core. The unwound strings are made of specially hardened carbon steel. Together, they create a balanced, warm and clear sound and a long life span. All Ernie Ball strings come in a hermetically sealed packaging that ensures their freshness.
