Ernie Ball strings are known for their versatility. These particular 3223 Skinny Top Heavy Bottom Nickel Wound strings are used for a wide variety of genres, including blues, rock and jazz. The wound strings are made of nickel-plated steel and wound around a hexagonal steel core, while the unwound strings are made of a specially hardened type of tin-plated carbon steel, resulting in a balanced sound with a bright tonal character.
The Hybrid Slinky Strings
The Hybrid Slinky strings basically combine two sets of strings into one. The unwound strings come from a .009 pack and support eased solos and extra bright tone, while the wound strings have been pulled from a pack of .010s and are a little thicker, lending chords maximum warmth alongside a bright undertone.
