Wrote the following about GHS GBXL Boomers Extra Light Light Electric Guitar Strings
Ik op veel verschillende soorten snaren gespeeld. Laatste tijd had ik D'Addarios, Ernie Balls en GHS Boomers uitgeprobeerd op mijn Les Paul kloon en mijn Fender Strat (allemaal 009-042 sets) door een Marshall gespeeld.
Mijn bevindingen: De D'Addarios zijn voor mij veel te helder, klinken metaalachtig.
De Ernie Balls zijn erg goed, klinken natuurlijker, maar ik heb het gevoel dat ze een fractie strakker zijn qua spanning.
De Boomers zijn voor mij perfect. Ze klinken misschien "minder helder" dan de andere twee als je ze erop zet, maar daar hou ik juist van, want ik haat het als gitaarsnaren de eerste drie dagen helder en metaalachtig klinken en dan na 3 dagen is al het hoog eraf. Bij de Boomers heb je meteen een perfect gebalanceerd geluid en dat raken ze ook nooit meer kwijt.
Ze breken ook niet, terwijl ik dat met Addarios wel af en toe meemaak.
