General
The Ernie Ball RPS Slinky series string sets feature what are known as Reinforced Plain Strings. This means that the non-wound strings at the ball-ends are reinforced with a special bronze winding. This significantly reduces breaking, slipping and detuning of the strings. This is why RPS Slinky strings last much longer than conventional string sets.
Hybrid Slinky
The Hybrid slinky is a combination of two string sets with different thicknesses. For example, the unwound strings in this set come from a .009 set. These flexible strings are easy to play, ideal for solos. The wound strings, on the other hand, are a stroke thicker and come from a .010 set. This makes them slightly tighter and sound a lot fuller. Ideal for full chords and lowered tunings.
Packaging of the strings
Slinky electric strings are made with the finest and purest raw materials. All Ernie Ball strings are packed in hermetically sealed packaging to ensure the strings remain as fresh as the day they were made.
