General

Ernie Ball's RPS Slinky series string sets consist of Reinforced Plain Strings. This means that the unwound strings are reinforced at the ball-ends with a special bronze winding. Breaking, slipping and untuning are reduced to a minimum, which is why RPS Slinky strings last longer than conventional string sets.

Packaging of the strings
Slinky electric strings are made of the finest and purest raw materials. All Ernie Ball strings come in a hermetically sealed packaging in order to ensure their freshness.

Heel goede snaren voor. De snaren geven net die iets zwaardere klank die ik verwachtte. Tegelijkertijd boeten ze niet in aan soepelheid en zijn dus makkelijk te bespelen. De versteviging is echt merkbaar aanwezig. Ik vertouw er op dat dit werkelijk de levensduur van de snaren ten goede komt. De snaren blijven ook vrij goed in toon, zelfs in een kamer met redelijk wat temperatuurs veranderingen

Wrote the following about Ernie Ball 2242 Reinforced Plain Power Slinky 011 - 048 strings

Eerst speelde ik met Elixer snaren die al geweldig waren. Nu deze geprobeerd en een slagje dikker.
Gewoon geweldige snaren, ze zijn wel iets gevoeliger voor zweterige vingers dan de Elixers maar voor de rest gewldig en blijven ook vrij goed in stemming.
