General

In addition to 7-string guitars, 8-string guitars are now gaining popularity. However, the range of strings available is not yet extensive. You often have to order one or two additional loose strings in addition to a set. DR Strings responds to the growing demand for 8-string string sets with this TF8-11 set from the Tite-Fit series. This is a Heavy set with sizes ranging from .011 to .080 inches. It is the ideal string set for flexibility, tone and longevity. Perfect for blues, jazz and heavy metal.

DR Strings TF8-11: Tite-Fit round core strings

The TF8-11 strings are designed to be all-round versatile. They are made of nickel-plated steel around a round steel core wire. This technique of Tite-Fit electric guitar strings is very old. However, DR Strings used the latest, most advanced and expensive metals available today. The result is a smooth string with a fatter and more balanced tone than strings with a hexagonal core.
