General

The Markbass Little CASA 58R is a signature model bass guitar amp head by Michael League. With its clear but comprehensive controls, it offers you a lot of control over your sound. It has a 5-band EQ, with bands at 65Hz, 180Hz, 500Hz, 1.4KHz and 3.8Khz. It also has bass and treble knobs, allowing for quick sound adjustments. Do you (occasionally) play in venues for which its 500W are not enough anyway? Then you can easily connect it to the PA system via the line-out with its own volume control, which also features a ground lift and pre/post-eq switch. Thanks to its compact size, it is easy to transport.

Wrote the following about Markbass Little Mark CASA 58R bass guitar amplifier head

Cet ampli Markbass a une très bonne sonorité, ni trop moderne, ni trop vintage.
Les graves ne sont pas baveux, les aigus clairs et cristallins, les low mids sont naturellement très denses.
J'apprécie particulièrement le choix des fréquences :
65Hz n'est pas trop bas dans le spectre et match bien avec mes baffles 2x8 et 12 pouces.
180Hz est une zone intéressante pour ma Pbass.
500Hz est parfait pour moi, c'est là où j'aime faire mon mid scoop.
1,4Hz là aussi parfait pour moi qui aime " son fender " ; ça claque au médiator sans jamais être trop agressif.
3.8Hz n'est pas excessivement haut dans le spectre, là encore parfait pour mes baffles et mon jeu.

Les contrôles de gain et master sont très progressifs et précis. Bravo.
L'ampli est joli esthétiquement.
Le gain peut saturer de façon assez musical.

J'enlève une étoile pour :
le ventilateur est moyennement bruyant mais a une sonorité un peu désagréable. Ce n'est pas horrible, mais certains concurrents font mieux.
J'aurais aimé une Led pour le CLIP de gain comme tous les autres Markbass et une sortie casque.
Les boutons G et V sont quand même vachement gros et sensibles.

Voilà, je recommande cet ampli pour sa sonorité et sa légèreté.
Je pense, que Markbass fabrique les meilleurs étages de puissance (MPT) et vous avez le choix en ce qui concerne la partie préamp'.
