And, since this is an Evo by Audient model, it also grants access to a set of high-quality preamps, each with a Smartgain function. Hit the Smartgain switch before recording and within a couple of seconds, the Evo SP8 will set the input gain levels to ensure an optimised audio signal, free of clipping. This is a definite bonus when working with big setups: say you're using an Evo 16 audio interface linked with two Evo SP8 preamps. You only need to hit one of the Smartgain buttons, sound check every element of the band at the same time and be ready to run in mere seconds.
