The TE-1200 is a bass guitar amplifier head from Trace Elliot, offering a powerful solution for amplifying your bass guitar with 1200W of RMS power. You can drive two Trace Pro cabinets with this model, creating a powerful setup suitable for small and large stages! This durable amp top is suitable for tour use and comes with a gig bag. You also get a handy MIDI footswitch, which can control a number of effects with four switches, such as built-in lo-band / hi-band compression, pre-shape and more. Heb veel bas tops (En combo's) gezien en gehoord. Trace Elliot was toch altijd net even iets meer. Zo ook deze head. Het is een mooi design. Toen hij binnen kwam heb ik een retour aangevraagd omdat de uitgang niet 100 procent werkte. De service van Bax - Music is zeer professioneel.

De head is een innovatie met groei van vele jaren ervaring. De ventilator is niet hoorbaar. De koptelefoon uitgang is een must en erg handig in de stille uurtjes. Misschien dat Trace Elliot deze uitgang pre en post kunnen maken om zo een extra monitor voor jezelf te creëren.

Ik gebruik de head in combinatie met een 300 watt cabinet met een impedantie bij 8 ohm. De head kan bij 8 ohm een vermogen max 600 watt uitsturen. Aangezien zoveel vermogen niet gebruikt wordt is de setup dan ook klein en hanteerbaar.

De bijgeleverde tas voor de head had wel steviger uitgevoerd kunnen worden. Desniettemin een mooie accessoire.

De midi voet schakelaar is een handige en eenvoudige accessoire welke ruim voldoet in de setup.

Al met al een top product van Trace Elliot.

LES +++
L'ampli est beau à regarder, son design est vraiment cool.
Il est puissant. Il est lourd, il ne glissera pas du cab avec les vibrations.
Il sonne super bien branché à un cab.
Compresseur excellent.
Le ventilateur est très discret, légèrement audible à la maison mais une sonorité presque agréable et rassurante.
La livraison et service Bax très bonne.

Les - - -
La sacoche livrée avec est nulle, se fermant avec un scratch qui s'usera vite, très peu rembourrée, elle laisse un trou énorme où la pluie et la bière viendront vite abîmer votre précieux outil de travail.
En D.I. ou au casque, j'entends un grésillement discret électronique à la fin des notes. Je n'ai jamais eu ce genre de problème avec mes autres D.I.
La fonction USB apporte un grésillement énorme (audacity, pas de problème avec aucun autre matériel)
Peavey ne m'a jamais répondu aux questions techniques simples que j'ai posées via leur formulaire de contact. L'absence de vidéo de test/promotion de qualité et les manuels d'utilisations des produits T.Elliot très succincts me font me demander si Peavey veut vraiment nous vendre du T.E.
L'ampli sonne bien, mais en cas de besoin dans un mix dense, il n'est pas facile de faire ressortir les mids. Il manque des potentiomètres EQ aux alentours de 300Hz, 1300Hz. En fait un EQ graphique comme avant !
Vous ne pouvez pas utiliser la boucle d'effet sans brancher le gros pédalier midi… un petit switch à l'arrière aurait suffit !

Voilà, un ampli de caractère que j'aurais adoré garder. Mais il ne m'a pas convaincu ni rassuré pour devenir mon ampli numéro 1 pour les 10 prochaines années.
