If you're a bass player who doesn't like to carry lots of different gear around, a multi-effects pedal is a good investment. Trace Elliot's Transit B is a preamp and multi-effects pedal with everything you need to shape your sound and is easy to connect to a bass amplifier, PA or mixer.
Transit B: features
The Transit B features a 5-band EQ, pre-shape and bass enhancer as well as compression and drive. There's also an accurate chromatic tuner that's easy to use thanks to the backlit control panel. Now, there's no need for lots of separate pedals - the Transit A has everything you need in one neat and tidy package.

My Transit B arrived Friday, so I thought Id share my thoughts on my new toy
It seems to be the perfect solution allowing me to use a compact Class D amp and small speaker rig to get the Trace Elliot Sound without lugging nearly 100kg of full on Trace AH500-7 amp and 2x10 & 1x15 speakers (now consigned to long term storage).
Tuner (chromatic) is great for standard and drop tunings, dual band compressor gives extra flexibility, and tone shaping with the sem-parametric graphic is really easy. Plenty of flexibility in the rear connectivity panel and the addition of aux & phones jacks is a nice touch.
Setting the tone flat on the Class D amp (no line input) and you wouldnt know it wasnt my old AH500-7 amp head!

First gig last night with the new box - amazing sound, so pleased with the results!
If you consider the price of buying individual stomp box pedals to duplicate the functionality I.e. compression, eq, drive, tuner and an active DI box - the Transit B pedal is excellent value for money
Brilliant piece of kit - worth every penny!!!

Zowat 20jaar geleden had ik een Trace Elliot pré amp die stuk ging. Sindsdien steeds op zoek geweest naar een vervanger maar nooit dezelfde warme klank kunnen bemachtigen. Tot ik dit pareltje kocht. Eindelijk hier zijn mijn mooie diepe warme basklanken terug. Het prijst me gelukkig en dan die extra mogelijkheden makkelijk in een pedaal een toppertje dus.

Zeer overzichtelijk,tuner,equalizer en pre-shape werken prima,drive niet altijd nuttig,
enkel compressor valt wat tegen,de high band wordt zo goed als nooit actief.Geluid : ruisarm.
Spijtig dat de hoofdtelefoonuitgang daarentegen compleet overstuurd klinkt , zelf na proberen van meerdere modellen met aangepaste impedantie die prima klinken op andere versterkers.
Wel de instrument output gebruiken als je hierna naar een combo ipv direct naar een power amp gaat!
