General
The D'Addario NYXL1046 Regular Light is a set of six strings for electric guitar. Their gauges range from .010 to .046 inches, which means they are supple enough to bend almost effortlessly, while still thick enough to deliver a full sound. These NYXL strings have been developed according to an improved nickel-plated steel formula that has excellent magnetic properties. The result is more output in the 1 to 3.5kHz range. In other words, these strings boast more presence to really cut through the mix!
The D'Addario NYXL1046 String: Extra Strength and Quick Tuning
The NYXL strings are made in New York by D'Addario, and are nothing short of revolutionary in the world of electric guitar strings. They are the result of a production process in which high-carbon steel is used, making them 20-40% stronger than strings of the same gauge by another brand. It also means you can bend them even further than other strings before they break, and that they stay in tune up to 131% better as well. The biggest advantage is that you can spend your time making music on your guitar instead of constantly tuning it.

Normaal heb ik altijd de gewone nickelwound snaren van dit merk en die bevallen al goed. Vanwege een nieuwe bigsby op een van mijn gitaren nu gekozen voor een duurder setje (2x zo duur !!). Deze zouden volgens de beschrijving sterker zijn en nog beter op stemming moeten blijven. De eerste ervaring is zeer goed. Klank is mooi en speelt super. Kan nu nog niet goed bevestigen of dat deze snaren zijn dubbele prijs t.o.v. van de 'gewone' snaren ook echt waard zijn, daarom nog geen 5 sterren

De marketing over duurzaamheid bij deze snaren is geen onzin. Ze gaan lang mee en blijven lang goed klinken. Ze spelen ook iets lekkerder dan de gewone d'Addarios. Toch gebruik ik die op mijn meeste gitaren omdat de NYXL een iets meer aanwezige upper-mid sound hebben dan ik zoek.
Deze set ligt op mijn Gibson studio die juist weinig upper-mids heeft van nature. Die gitaar klinkt nu fantastisch.

Je jouai sur des EXL que je trouvais bien pendant des années, j'ai essayé les NYXL et pour moi c'est encore mieux, que ce soit au niveau du son et du touché. J'ai mis 4 étoiles pour le prix un peux excessif mais en même temps elles sont résistantes.

Goeie snaren gebruikt niks anders dan deze op al mijn gitaren maar de prijs is echt absurd geworden vandaar 3 sterren zou normaal 5 sterren geven maar bijna 19Euro voor een setje nu is gewoon diefstal

Uistekende snaren, ik gebruik ze sinds 2016, toen ze mij in New York werden aangeraden. Ik was op zoek naar een verbeterde Elixir snaar, die ik vanwege de houdbaarheid gebruikte, maar die niet echt lekker klonken. De NYXL's klinken erg goed, houden die klank lang vast, zijn stemvast en zeer robuust; bij mij moeten de snaren wel tegen enig misbruik kunnen.
