The benevolent Orange Terror Stamp makes that unmistakable Terror-Series sound available to all! This pedal basically functions as a 20-Watt-strong amplifier. Its hybrid design has all the rich character and response expected of an ECC83 preamp tube combined with the pure clarity of a class AB transistor. Use the shape controller to dial in an intimidating range of tone; from gut-punching mids to deep scoops. The solid team of connection ports that are lined up along the back, offer up-to-date options like Cab Sim and Line Out for seamless integration with studio and stage setups. The other welcome plus is that it comes with its own power supply included.

Het was vooral het kleine formaat dat me aansprak. En natuurlijk de 'Orange' uitstraling.
In eerste instantie was het een teleurstelling. Het apparaat gaf een enorme brom. Dat geluid veranderde ook als je het kastje aanraakte of bijvoorbeeld op zijn kant zette. Mijn vermoeden was dat het iets met de aarding zou zijn. Dat klopte ook. Helaas in mijn kamer geen geaard stopcontact. Ik neem nu de brom voor lief. In de oefenruimte is hij fluisterstil.. Bij langere tijd spelen op hoog volume wordt de behuizing erg warm (zeg maar heet). Al met al een ster minder. Maar voor iedereen met een geaard stopcontact en ovenwanten een aanrader. Het geluid is fantastisch.

Klein, eenvoudig en met verrassend veel power. Een Orange op je pedalboard die klinkt als een Orange. Naar een cab, koptelefoon of PA dit kleine wonder kan het.

Kwalitatief, stevig gebouwd pedaal. Cleane sound is super, maar de overstuurde sound is niet helemaal mn ding. De tone shape wordt snel fizzy als je hem voorbij 12u draait. Onder 12u heb je een goeie scooped sound voor de meer metal genres.

Waarom ik hem dan toch hou?

Goeie poweramp om bvb digitale amp sims naar een cab te sturen of preamp pedalen te kunnen gebruiken. Werkt goed met overdrive pedalen dus ik kan alsnog een degelijke sound maken.

Al bij al, kwaliteit als van Orange, maar niet echt de (overstuurde) sound die ik verwacht had.
