General

Rototoms were hugely popular in the '80s and '90s and they are still used by many top drummers today. As well as producing drum and banjo heads, Remo also make top-quality drum and percussion instruments like this set of 3 rototoms that are 6, 8 and 10 inches in diameter and come on a stand.

Tuneable toms

The rototoms have transparent Remo Pinstripe drum heads that produce a concentrated, bright sound. The beauty of rototoms is that they can be tuned quickly by rotating the frames which raises and lower the tension along with the sound. Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers are just two of the famous drummers who use rototoms.

Aangezien ik in een old-school thrash-death-black metal band speel en zeer geïnspireerd ben door b.v. Pleasure To Kill van Kreator, kan een set roto toms niet ontbreken, deze set van Remo is dan het beste wat je kunt aanschaffen, klinken geweldig, staan stabiel ondanks de hypersnelle drums, absoluut een aanrader als aanvulling op je kit.

Er zijn ook roto toms die een flink stuk goedkoper zijn, maar die vallen snel om en klinken natuurlijk niet zo goed als deze Remo set, doe het gewoon gelijk goed, dit is een set voor het leven!
