Sennheiser remains the go-to brand when it comes to headphones. The same applies to their microphones, of course, though you’re likely more familiar with their headphones. This reputation is well-earned: their models are extremely comfortable and deliver a truly compelling sound. This is exactly the case with the recently released HD 490 Pro. However, that model is an open-back design, which means there is some sound bleed to the outside. Generally, this isn't an issue unless you're working in the studio and want to prevent such leakage as much as possible. In that case, the HD 480 Pro, a closed-back model, will be your best ally.

Features of the Sennheiser HD 480 Pro

Does the brand even need more praise? The HD 480 Pro fits perfectly and sounds magnificent. Technically speaking, its frequency response goes far beyond human hearing, ranging from 3 to 28,700 Hz. On paper, this demonstrates exceptional precision, with the audible spectrum benefiting directly from the technology that makes such a range possible. The headphones come with two cables: a straight one and a coiled one. A subtle but very welcome detail: the cable can be attached to either the left or right ear cup depending on your needs or preference. In short: a beautiful piece of studio gear that will serve you faithfully for years.
