What is a B-stock product?

A product becomes B-stock when it can no longer be sold as new. It can simply be a product that has been returned by a customer or it may have packaging that is damaged or missing. General

There’s a golden rule for mixing and bass tones: you can’t judge what you can’t hear. Bass frequencies are a vital part of any mix, which makes it even stranger that they’re not always (fully) represented by regular near-field studio monitors. Renowned speaker maker JBL has designed an active studio subwoofer to complete their LSR series: the LSR310S. This sub features a 10-inch woofer and is down-firing for an extra deep sound. Its patented Slip Stream Port design also gives the bass tones a proper boost.

The LSR310S' Characteristics

Combined with your own near-fields, this sub’s range of down to 27 Hz ensures a true full-range sound. You can clearly hear (and adjust) the deepest electro bass drums but also the heaviest frequencies in an orchestra. Thanks to a 113 dB peak SPL and a high-quality, built-in 200W Class D amplifier, you won’t need to worry about hearing this subwoofer. You can adjust the sub’s volume to find the ideal balance for your studio.

JBL LSR310S Active Studio Subwoofer

This sub woofer has received mixed responses on the internet.

I find it excellent...

Set up properly with quality cables and in conjunction with jbl monitors provides tight punchy bass across all genres.. obviously dependent on the quality of the original mixing/mastering.

So I don't see what all the fuss is about.. it's a sub woofer does what it's supposed to do..

JBL LSR310S Active Studio Subwoofer

Gewoon een goede subwoofer. Ik snap niet waarom hij zo'n lage beoordeling krijgt. Hij ziet er netjes uit, ja het is plastic en hout maar wat had je dan verwacht; de speakers zijn van hetzelfde materiaal. Ik heb de lsr305's, daar ben ik zeer tevreden over maar ik miste echt de 25-40hz range. Ik gebruik hem in mijn 'studio' en nu hoor je echt goed waar je mee bezig ben in het laag. Veel nauwkeuriger om de boel af te mixen en je geluid klinkt echt mega vol. Het kan allemaal oordovend hard tot het hele huis trilt maar dat komt bij mij nauwelijks voor. Voor gaming of films zou het natuurlijk ook prachtig zijn, dat doe ik echter niet; alleen muziek.

Hij staat gewoon netjes onder mijn bureau, ziet er strak uit. Crossover op 80hz, de speakers op +4db en het volume van de subwoofer afgesteld door gewoon 10 van mijn favoriete nummers te beluisteren en het volume daarin te middelen tot het goed klonk (nu op 6/7 van de 10). Misschien niet zoals het hoort maar het is nu gewoon perfect.

Tip: ik was even in de war met de kabels; ik had de verkeerde kabels besteld (eigen schuld).

Ik heb 'audio interface' -> 6.3 jack naar 6.3 jack -> subwoofer in, dan subwoofer out -> xlr naar xlr -> jbl305
