Gold Tone has launched a "beginner's" banjo with the CC-Irish Tenor. In quotes, because despite the price, this is a strong piece of craftsmanship. The CC-Irish Tenor, made entirely of maple except for the blackwood fingerboard, has an 11-inch shell and a scale of 19.75 inches. So it is a very manageable instrument that can be played just fine even by slightly smaller people. It has a bright sound thanks to its resonator and rolled brass tone ring. Thanks to the two-way adjustable neck pin, you no longer have to worry about distortion due to the weather.
