The Remo 28-inch Ebony Pinstripe ES-1628-PS bass drumhead is made for heavy-duty styles of music. It's black and made of 2 plies of Mylar (10 and 5 mil) for a warm sound with outstanding resonance and a fast decay.

Wrote the following about Remo ES-1628-PS 28-inch Ebony Pinstripe bass drumhead
Een klassieker, de Remo Pinstripe. Dit dubbellaagsvel klinkt vooral 'vet' en is dan ook erg geschikt voor (heavy)rock en dergelijke muziek. Vel gaat lang mee en kan zonder problemen laag gestemd worden. Er zit een stevige attack in. Als je een lange toon wilt moet je een ander vel kiezen (Remo Emperor bijvoorbeeld).
Ik weet niet of het echt zo is, kan ook gevoelsmatig zijn maar ze lijken ten opzichte van de (gewone Pinstripe) clear vellen wat 'darker' te klinken. Tip: plak een Falam Slam of ander soort sticker (of knip een stukje uit een oud vel) waar de klopper het vel raakt. Geeft meer attack en je vel gaat veel langer mee!Aanrader!
