Na jarenlang deze en andere merken te hebben gespeeld ben ik uiteindelijk het meest tevreden van de remo vellen. Heel stevige kwaliteit en ze blijven lang goed gestemd. Ik ben er heel tevreden over.

Wrote the following about Remo P3-1022-ES Powerstroke 3 Ebony 22-inch bass drumhead

Dit ebony drumvel klinkt warm en vol. In combinatie met een EMAD drumvel kan ik ook nog verschillende sounds uit mijn kickdrum krijgen. Het drumvel heb ik gestemd met de Tune bot. Met het gebruik van een Tune-Bot kan je het drumvel perfect stemmen, je kan beslissen welke toonhoogte/hoeveel herz, en je kan berekenen hoeveel herz verschil er tussen de batterhead en het resonatievel zitten. Door middel van een 6 inch port hole (op 4 uur) neem ik de bass drum op in een akoestisch behandelde kamer. De microfoons die ik hiervoor gebruik zijn van de Sennheiser E600 microfoon-drumkit. Ik plaats de kick mic E 602-II met alleen het membraam in de port hole. Op de batter head plaats ik een E604 mic om de attack van het drumpedaal op te nemen. De sporen van de kick neem ik op in een DAW en deze pas ik later naar mijn eigen smaak aan. Dit doe ik in de DAW zelf, of ik gebruik een send and return mengpaneel. Het resultaat wat ik hiermee krijg is studio kwaliteit.
